Enabling Apple Pay and Google Pay

In 2022, payments with mobile wallets accounted for nearly half of all e-commerce payment transactions. In response to the growing trend of digital and mobile wallet usage by consumers, we wanted to make sure that our partners could satisfy their customers’ needs. That is why we added these convenient payment methods to our range of payment options and started enabling them for some of our partners. Additionally, we’ve refined the process to exclude unnecessary billing and shipping addresses, ensuring a streamlined payment experience.

What is 3DS 2.2?

3D Secure (3DS) is a security measure for online payments, requiring two-factor authentication. 3DS1, the original version, was disliked by users due to its cumbersome process. 3DS2 was a major improvement, offering a smoother user experience with features like biometric authentication and support for exemptions. The latest version, 3DS 2.2, provides even more flexibility and security enhancements, ensuring compliance with regulations.

In response to Visa and Mastercard’s requirements, we’ve enriched the 3DS 2.2 authentication request by sending additional customer data, such as personal details or addresses. This upgrade is poised to boost approval rates, leading to a better conversion ratio and smoother transactions.
